About Focus98

Focus98 is a focus timer and app blocker for Android, played as a retro PC that you keep running by getting work done.

Why we made it

Phones are very good at taking attention and not very good at giving it back. Focus timers help, but most of them get dull after a week, or make you feel guilty when you slip. We wanted something you'd want to come back to: a computer that grows with you, from a beige 1998 desktop to 2010, and only runs while you focus.

What we believe

No ads. Not in the free version, not anywhere.
Getting distracted shouldn't cost you what you've earned. It slows your PC down; it never takes credits away.
Pausing is always allowed. Emergencies happen. Pause first and nothing counts against you.
Private by default. No account needed, and what you do on your phone stays on your phone. This website asks before it uses analytics cookies; see the privacy policy.
A fair price. The whole first era is free. Plus is $24.99 once, or $7.99 a year.

Where it is now

Focus98 is in testing on Android and coming soon to Google Play. An iPhone version may follow once the Android app is finished. Join the early-access list to hear when it's out.

Who makes it

Focus98 is made by Artifx SRL, a company in Romania.
