Tasks, streaks, stats and achievements

By the Focus98 team · Updated October 8, 2026

Under the retro desktop is a proper productivity tool: a task list, goals, a daily target with a streak, detailed statistics and achievements worth printing.

Tasks

Keep a list of things to work on: one-time tasks, and repeating ones that come round every day or on chosen days. Give a task a tag (study, work, reading, personal or your own) and an estimate in sessions. Pick a task when you start a Work Session, and Focus98 keeps track of the time you spend on it.

Goals and streaks

Session goals: write what you want done by the end of a session, then tick it off.
A daily goal: how many minutes you want to focus each day.
Computer uptime: your streak, the days in a row you've reached your goal.

Statistics and the activity log

Statistics shows today, this week, the last 30 days and all time; time by tag and by task; the apps that distracted you most; and a calendar of the last 12 weeks. The Activity Log lists everything that happened, from sessions and breaks to orders and crashes, and you can filter it by time and kind.

Achievements

Milestones pay credits: your first session, then 10, 50 and 100; hours of focus; going online; joining a network; each new era; your first music and wallpapers. With a printer, each one prints a certificate you keep in My Documents.

On the desktop

Sticky notes: up to ten quick notes stuck anywhere on the desktop (they come with the printer).
The Performance Meter: a small meter showing your focus, the PC's condition and today's tasks.
